Music is in the blood!

Mike and his band are fun to watch. They are relaxed on stage and make you laugh with their cute antics. It's been described as a "good old-fashoned garage band" in the making. Keep up the good work.

Adam's Road is on tour. Some of their music is truly inspirational.

Two Home-comings!

We welcomed our nephew, Nick, home from Iraq. It was 1AM and we were there in the airport with flags, balloons, posters, and patriotic shirts. Dave brought a boom box and we blared "Stars and Stripes Forever." It was fun.

Also, our son Steven returned home from an honorable mission in southern France. They have both been standing for truth and righteousness abroad.

We are so proud of both of them!

We bought a boat!

Yes, a boat! Maybe it could be considered a yaught because it seats 12!
We got such a great deal that it was hard to pass up.
We're on our way to the lake today.
Wish us luck because it's been a long time since either of us put a boat into the water, let alone skied.
We look forward to enjoying special memories with our children and grandchildren, our hometeaching families, as well as just the two of us on a romantic ride.
Off to the sunset... More to come...

Seeing the Sights!

Our son, John, graduated from NYU in Corporate Law.
We are so proud of him!
This gave us an excuse to visit his wonderful family in New York
(Lisa & Mia), as well as see some of the neighboring sights.

Mia's first ride on a carousel left her
crying for more when it was through.

A lovely canoe ride in Central Park was a peaceful refuge
from the bustle of the city.

Mia is a whiz on the computer!

We visited Plymouth, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.
(The Mayflower was not a very large ship for 136 people. )

Paul Revere was a dentist and a bell maker by trade.

You might recognize this scene from "National Treasure."
(We didn't find the brick with the glasses!)

We watched the "changing of the guard" at the Arlington Cemetery.
It was sobering.

The center of the capitol; the center of the world.

We then made a swing through West Virginia and Ohio
to see Dave's mom (Dot), and sister (Nici and Mike),
then up to our daughter, Barbie and her beautiful family
(Matt, Sarah, Mary, Matthew, Tyndale).

What a joy!

The "doctors" were all ready to fix anything they could find on
Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Dave.

On our return, we were able to visit some of our church's
historical sites (Hyrum, OH; Palmyra, NY; Sacred Grove;
Kirtland, OH) and then on to romantic Niagara Falls, Canada.
We put over 2300 miles on that rental car!

The Sacred Grove was a special experience.
Niagara was romantic and amazing!

Well, now we'll just have to "clown around" somewhere else
so we can share more pictures with you!
In all seriousness, our love for country, family, and those
who sacrifice for us has increased.
May yours as well.

Love, Lurlynn
